DAY 01: NAIROBI
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, met and transferred to your Nairobi Hotel. (Use of room before 1200hrs not guaranteed).

Overnight at CROWN PLAZA HOTEL.

DAY 02: LAKE NAIVASHA
Breakfast at the hotel. Met by your driver guide and proceed to Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha. Have a bird watching session at Lake Naivasha. Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon take a boat ride to crescent Island for a game walk on the Island.

Lake Naivasha is a birdwatcher’s paradise with over 200 species having been recorded from the area.

Overnight at LAKE NAIVASHA SOPA LODGE.

DAY 03: LAKE ELEMENTAITA/LAKE NAKURU
After breakfast take a tour to Lake Elementaita for other bird life that includes kingfisher, Africana Jacana, Africa fish eagle, egrets, pinked backed pelicans among others. There also rare ones such as black heron. From Elementaita we take a drive to another Rift Valley lake to Lake Nakuru National Park. Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon game viewing and bird watching. Look out for other water birds such as white pelican, Egyptian Goose, Sacred Ibis, Cape Teal, African Spoonbill, Yellow billed Stork among others. Apart from the water birds extensive acacia woodlands supports a rich and varied birdlife such as Woodpeckers, Flycatchers, bubbles among others.

Dinner and overnight at LAKE NAKURU SOPA LODGE.

DAY 04: LAKE BOGORIA/LAKE BARINGO
After breakfast, drive up the Great Rift Valley to Lake Baringo with picnic boxes. Lake Baringo area has a rich avifauna of about 500 bird species. Afternoon head out for bird session – look out for the two endemic species, Northern Masked Weaver and Orange Bishop. Other birds you can try to spot are Jackson Hornbill, White-crested Turaco, and Goliath Heron among others. You will have picnic lunch in between the birding sessions.
Later drive to Lake Bogoria and check in at your hotel.

DAY 05: LAKE BOGORIA
Breakfast the lodge. Spend a whole day exploring around Lake Bogoria with a range of guided bird and wildlife tours. Lake Bogoria has more than 350 birds on the list, but the main attraction is lesser flamingoes which flock in the shallow waters feeding on algae Lake Bogoria is one of the best places in Kenya to see large flocks of these birds. Also plenty of other water birds are easy to spot, and the call of a fish eagle is never far off.

DAY 06: KAKAMEGA FOREST
Breakfast at the lodge. Depart Lake Bogoria with picnic boxes and head to Western Kenya, to Kakamega rainforest which is one of the hot spots for bird watching in Kenya. Kakamega Forest National Reserve has been designated an important Bird Area and support more than 360 species of birds. Take a nature walk that takes you to the top of Lirhanda Hill, where you can watch the sunset.

DAY 07: KAKAMEGA FOREST
Breakfast and then spend the day at the forest bird watching. The rain forest is remnant of the original Congo forest and as such had a large number of colourful and varied birds typical of Central Africa. Look for Blue-spotted Wood-Dove, African Emerald Cuckoo, Yellow bill Bar-tailed Trogon among others. The rainforest is also home to several hundreds of species of snakes, monkeys, bushbucks, duikers, countless tree species and natural glades.

DAY 08: KISUMU/LAKE VICTORIA
Enjoy your breakfast, then head for a nature walk and thereafter depart for the lakeside city of Kisumu. Lunch on own arrangement. Afternoon drive to Dunga swamp, an important Bird Area. Look out for Red-headed Lovebird, Yellow-backed Weaver, Black-billed Barbet, and Parasitic Weaver among others.

DAY 09: KISUMU/LAKE VICTORIA
Breakfast at the hotel. On this day you will go out to the shore of Lake Victoria for a nature walk in the Kisumu Impala Sanctuary. The sanctuary hosts over 115 bird species, nature walks and glass bottomed boat rides compliment the activities availed at the sanctuary. It also hosts impalas, the rare Sitatungu antelope as well as big cats, buffalos, giraffes, cheetahs and several primate species.

DAY 10: NAIROBI/DEPART
After breakfast, transfer to Kisumu airport for your domestic flight to Nairobi where you will connect to your onward departure flight, 3 hours prior to departure time.
