Overview

CHEBERA CHURCHURA NATIONAL PARK is an untouched wilderness found within the Omo Gibe basin, in the south of Ethiopia and considered one of the most untouched areas of the country. The National Park contains rivers, streams, springs, caves and four crater lakes, providing the perfect habitat for wildlife; endemic birds and mammals, which include the African elephant, hippopotamus, Cape buffalo, lion, and leopard. CCNP is considered to have the best ecosystem for the African elephant in the country (within Meka Forest). The landscape of this attractive park also comprises unique and attractive mountains.

Day: 1 Addis Ababa
Arrive at Bole international airport and meet and greet by ET-Holidays representative. Depending on your arrival time, you will be taken on Addis Ababa City Tour. The city tour of Addis includes visiting the National Museum, Trinity Cathedral, Mount Entoto view point, Mercato and while driving through the city you can see historical monuments, status and the office of international and regional organizations. Day: 2 Addis Ababa ✈ Jimma
In the morning fly to Jimma. Then, you set off for Chebera Churchura National Park. The park is one of the relatively untouched, recently discovered and rich in wilderness. The Park is fortunate in possessing numerous rivers and streams and four small creator lakes, which are reason for the rich wildlife resources of the area. The topography of the park is so unique and highly heterogeneous and hilly terrain, few flat lands and highly undulating to rolling plains with incised river and perennial streams, valley and gorges. Larger mammals and numerous species of birds are inhabiting in the park. Common mammals include the African elephant, hippopotamus, Cape buffalo, lion, and Leopard. The park is the best site to see the African Elephants, and Buffalo. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch & dinner Overnight: Camping/decent guest house.
