Upon arrival at Entebbe Airport, our representative will meet and welcome you. He will be your tour and driver-guide for the rest of your days in the country. After the introduction, you will be transferred to your preferred hotel in Entebbe (approximately 10–30 minutes' drive) for an overnight stay on a bed-and-breakfast basis.

The drive from Entebbe to Kibale Forest National Park (approx. 6–7 hrs) is a fascinating trip through Uganda's different landscapes — rolling hills and big tea farms — ending in the thick, tropical forest of Kibale, famous for its rich wildlife. Kibale is home to 13 primate species including chimpanzees, and over 325 bird species including the rare green-breasted pitta. Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon.
After lunch, relax at the lodge or take a 4.5 km nature walk at the Bigodi wetland, run by the community organisation KAFRED. Over 200 bird species and 8 primates have been identified along the trail — including the L'hoest, red colobus, red-tailed, vervet and blue monkeys, olive baboon, black-and-white colobus, and the grey-cheeked mangabey. You may choose either the nature walk or a community walk around Bigodi.

Chimp tracking in Kibale Forest is an exciting and memorable adventure. You start early in the morning with a knowledgeable guide and walk into the thick rainforest, looking for signs of chimpanzees. The trek can be tough as you move through dense vegetation and rough ground, but the guide will help you find the chimps — lively and fascinating to watch as they eat, play, and interact up close. Lunch, then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park (approx. 2 hrs' drive).
In south-western Uganda, Queen Elizabeth is one of the most famous and diverse parks in East Africa, spanning around 1,978 square kilometres between Lake Edward and Lake George. Its diverse ecosystems — savannah plains, tropical forests, wetlands, lakes, and volcanic crater lakes — sit against the backdrop of the Rwenzori Mountains, and are home to elephants, buffalo, Uganda kob, waterbucks, hippos, and crocodiles. Enjoy an evening game drive.

After early breakfast, drive to the Kasenyi plains for your game drive. The plains are home to elephants, buffalo, Uganda kob, waterbucks, warthogs, and topi, while predators such as lions and leopards are commonly spotted early in the morning or late in the evening. The plains are also rich in birdlife, with eagles, vultures, storks, and various grassland species.
After the game drive, return to your lodge for lunch, then embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel for another chance to encounter wildlife. Lasting about two hours from the main jetty near Mweya, the slow-paced cruise brings you close to elephants, buffalo, and waterbucks at the water's edge — ideal for photographing hippos, basking crocodiles, and birds in flight.

Gorilla tracking is a thrilling and unforgettable experience that commences early in the morning. With your packed lunch, depart your lodge and head to the park headquarters for a comprehensive briefing and gorilla family allocations. Due to the physical demands of the trek, good health and fitness are strongly recommended, along with sturdy hiking boots, long trousers, and long-sleeved shirts for protection against insects and dense vegetation. Hiring a porter is also recommended.
The journey into the forest typically traverses challenging terrain, from dense undergrowth to steep slopes, and the duration varies from 30 minutes to several hours depending on the group's location. Upon locating the gorillas, visitors enjoy an enchanting hour observing these majestic creatures, while experienced guides ensure a safe viewing distance and share insights into gorilla behaviour and conservation. Afterwards, you trek back and return to the park headquarters, where you are awarded a certificate for the Gorilla Trek.

After early breakfast, you will be driven to Lake Mburo National Park (approx. 5 hrs' drive) — Uganda's smallest national park. The journey takes you through stunning scenery and the Ankole Kingdom, with its animal farms and crop plantations, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge.
After lunch, embark on a relaxing and scenic boat cruise on Lake Mburo, one of Uganda's most beautiful and wildlife-rich lakes. You'll see pods of hippos wallowing in the shallows and Nile crocodiles basking along the shoreline; watch for buffalo and antelope coming to drink, and birds such as the African fish eagle, pied kingfisher, and malachite kingfisher.

Breakfast at your lodge, check out, and head out for a game drive or guided nature walk. Lake Mburo is one of the few parks where a guided nature walk lets you see most of the animals as if on a game drive, and it is famously home to Uganda's largest population of zebras — alongside impala, oribi, giraffe, and abundant birdlife. Continue your journey to Entebbe (approx. 5 hrs' drive) with a stopover at the equator for lunch. Enjoy a farewell dinner, followed by a drop-off at the airport for your international flight. End of safari.
Gorilla and chimpanzee trekking are physically demanding; good health and a reasonable level of fitness are strongly recommended, along with sturdy hiking boots and long clothing. Hiring a porter at the park headquarters is advised. Gorilla and chimpanzee permits are strictly limited and subject to availability at the time of booking.
